indian How dare the PSU oil companies refuse to issue new domestic LPG connections? If I remember correctly, about 15 years ago there were half a dozen big private oil companies marketing LPG at market rates and domestic gas connections were available freely, though at a higher cost.At that time it was the Public Sector oil cos which hurriedly cleared the waiting list for gas connections practically overnight by taking nominal amounts of cash and with their cylinders underpriced to pull the rug from under the feet of the private cos.The PSU oil cos effectively destroyed the market for the private sector oil cos like Shell Gas and others.Today the private oil cos have all vanished from the domestic LPG scene because of the govt oil cos. They should not be allowed to abandon the common man now,by hiding behind the fact that they cannot make ends meet!Else bring back the private oil cos,let everyone compete on a level playing field! We have had enough of these cunning PSU oil cos!
